The content of certain first releases published under the theme of agriculture (livestock, ear cereals, agricultural producer prices) will be issued – considering that they contain no leading indicators – in another data disclosure format in the future, among ready-made tables (STADAT) and in the dissemination database, ensuring this way the availability of detailed information for users. Cattle stock increases further

The increase of the cattle stock, lasting since 2010, continued. The pig stock increased by 50 thousand, while the sheep stock was reduced by 14 thousand and the chicken stock by 776 thousand over the past year.

On 1 June 2018:

There were 15 thousand more cattle compared to 1 June 2017, their number reached 880 thousand. The cow stock was up by 4 thousand over a year, to 397 thousand.

The number of pigs was 2.9 million, 50 thousand more than one year earlier. The number of breeding sows increased by 3 thousand compared to the stock in June 2017.

The number of chickens was 35 million, 776 thousand fewer than a year earlier. The stock of laying hens was 11 million, growing by 432 thousand over a year.

The sheep stock was 1.2 million, decreasing by 14 thousand, while the number of ewes was 799 thousand, 13 thousand fewer compared to June 2017.

In June 2018 compared to December 2017:

Cattle and cow stocks both went up, the former by 10 thousand and the latter by 2 thousand.

The number of pigs was cut by 14 thousand, while the number of breeding sows became 7 thousand higher.
