Economic performance grows by 4.5%

The gross domestic product of Hungary was up by 4.5% according to raw data and by 4.6% according to seasonally and calendar adjusted and reconciled data in the 4th quarter of 2019 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Market-based services contributed to the growth to a greater, industry and construction to a lesser extent. In 2019, GDP rose by 4.9% compared to a year earlier.

Compared to the previous quarter, the volume of gross domestic product grew by 1.0% – according to seasonally and calendar adjusted and reconciled data – in the 4th quarter of 2019.
