Industrial production decreased by 0.5%

In December 2017, the volume of industrial output declined by 0.5% year-on-year. Based on working-day adjusted data, the production grew by 4.5%. Compared to raw data, this significant difference is due to the fact that there were two fewer working days in December 2017 than in December 2016.

In 2017, the volume of production increased by 4.8% year-on-year.

The volume of industrial output in December – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was 1.2% above the level of the previous month.
