Industrial production increased by 6.1%

In October 2019 the volume of industrial output grew by 6.1% year-on-year. Based on working-day adjusted data production rose by 6.4%.

The majority of manufacturing subsections contributed to the increase. The rate of growth significantly slackened in the largest weight representing manufacture of transport equipment, as well as in that of computer, electronic and optical products, while in the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco rose at a rate above the industrial average.

Output was 6.3% higher in the first ten months of this year than in the same period of the previous year.

Industrial output in October – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was 0.4% below the level of the previous month.
