A 4.7% increase in the sales of retail shops
In December 2017, the volume of sales in retail shops increased by 4.7% according to raw data and by 5.9% adjusted for calendar effects compared to the same period of the previous year. The volume of sales, adjusted for calendar effects, rose by 2.1% in specialized and non-specialized food shops, by 10.4% in non-food retail shops and by 4.1% in automotive fuel retailing. In 2017, the volume of sales – also according to calendar adjusted data – was 4.8% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
