4.3% increase in the sales of retail shops
In April 2018, the volume of sales in retail shops increased by 4.3% according to raw data and, mainly due to the Easter effect, by 6.0% adjusted for calendar effects compared to the same period of the previous year. The volume of sales, adjusted for calendar effects, rose by 2.6% in specialized and non-specialized food shops, by 9.2% in non-food retail shops and by 8.6% in automotive fuel retailing. In January–April 2018, the volume of sales – also according to calendar adjusted data – was 6.9% higher than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
