Surplus of trade amounted to EUR 502 million

In EUR terms, both exports and imports were up by 2.5% in December 2017 compared to the same period of the previous year. Trade surplus increased by EUR 12 million. The turnover may have been influenced by the fact that the number of working days was 2 days fewer in December 2017 than a year earlier. In 2017, exports were up by 8.4% and imports by 11%, and the trade surplus was EUR 8.2 billion.

In December 2017:

The value of exports amounted to EUR 7.5 billion (HUF 2,337 billion) and that of imports to EUR 7.0 billion (HUF 2,180 billion).

Trade surplus was EUR 502 million (HUF 157 billion).

The share of European Union Member States was 77% in exports and 76% in imports.

In December 2017 compared to a year earlier:

Exports and imports increased to the same extent, by 2.5% in EUR terms.
