Surplus of trade amounted to EUR 51 million in August

In EUR terms, exports increased by 0.9% and imports grew by 6.1% in August 2018 compared to the same period of the previous year. The trade surplus was down by EUR 381 million. In the first eight months of 2018, the external trade surplus was EUR 4.6 billion.

In August 2018:

The value of exports amounted to EUR 7 billion 981 million (HUF 2,579 billion) and that of imports to EUR 7 billion 930 million (HUF 2,563 billion).

The trade surplus was EUR 51 million (HUF 16 billion).

The share of European Union Member States was 80% in exports and 73% in imports.

In August 2018 compared to a year earlier:

The exports increased by 0.9% and imports grew by 6.1% in EUR terms.
