Surplus on external trade in goods amounts to EUR 1.1 billion in February

In EUR terms, the value of exports increased by 3.9% and that of imports by 0.1% in February 2020 compared to the same period of the previous year. The balance of external trade in goods improved by EUR 343 million. The effect of the corona virus epidemic on external trade in goods can be examined in the second estimate, by when the detailed data will be available.

In February 2020:

The value of exports amounted to EUR 9,426 million (HUF 3,177 billion) and that of imports to EUR 8,308 million (HUF 2,799 billion).

The surplus on external trade in goods was EUR 1.1 billion (HUF 378 billion).

The share of EU-27 Member States was 81% in exports and 77% in imports.

In February 2020 compared to a year earlier:

The value of exports increased by 3.9% and that of imports by 0.1% in EUR terms.
