Surplus on external trade in goods amounts to EUR 830 million, and exports increase by 4.9% and imports decrease by 0.2% compared to December

In EUR terms, the value of exports was 5.5% and that of imports 10% lower in January 2021 than in the same period of the previous year. The balance of external trade in goods improved by EUR 417 million. Compared to the previous month, the level of external trade was up by 4.9% on the export side and lessened by 0.2% on the import side.

In January 2021:

The value of exports amounted to EUR 8,755 million (HUF 3,150 billion) and that of imports to EUR 7,925 million (HUF 2,853 billion).

The surplus on external trade in goods was EUR 830 million (HUF 297 billion).

The share of EU-27 Member States was 78% in exports and 71% in imports.

In January 2021 compared to a year earlier:

The value of exports decreased by 5.5% and that of imports by 10% in EUR terms.
