Price of fruits decreases by 26%, that of vegetables goes up by 34%

Agricultural producer prices increased by 5.1% in October 2018 compared to the corresponding period of 2017, which resulted from a rise of 9.7% in the price of crop products and a decrease of 2.2% in the price of live animals and animal products.

In October 2018 compared to October 2017:

Cereals prices were up by 13%, within which the price of wheat by 21% and that of maize by 5.4%.

The price of fruits lessened by 26%, within which apples prices became considerably, 41% and the price of grapes 18% lower.

Vegetables prices rose by 34%.

The price of live animals diminished by 2.6%, within which pigs prices fell by 5.5%, while the price of poultry went up by 1.2%.

In January–October 2018 compared to the same period of the previous year:

Agricultural producer prices increased by 2.3%, within which the price of crop products became 5.1% larger and that of live animals and animal products 2.1% smaller.

The price of vegetables was 13% higher and that of fruits 13% lower.

The price of pigs for slaughter fell by 11%.

Milk became 1.0% and eggs 8.4% more expensive.
