In 2012 the volume of investments in the national economy was 5.2% lower than in the previous year. A downward trend was measured in the forth quarter of the year as well as in 2012 as a whole. The volume of investments in the national economy in quarter 4 of 2012 decreased by 7.9% compared to the same period of the previous year and by 3.7% compared to the previous quarter according to seasonally adjusted indices.

In quarter 3 of 2012 the volume of investments in the national economy was 2.1% lower than one year before. The decrease observed at the level of the national economy slowed down in the reference quarter, thanks to the further increase of manufacturing investments and to the volume increase in transportation and storage. In the first three quarters of 2012 the volume of investments in the national economy was 5.2% lower than in the base period.

In quarter 2 of 2012 the volume of investments in the national economy was 5.9% lower than in the same period of the previous year, while it went down by 2.2% in comparison with the previous quarter according to seasonally adjusted volume indices. The downward trend persistent for years was measured in the second quarter of 2012 too.

In quarter 1 of 2012 the volume of investments in the national economy was 8.6% lower than in the same period of the previous year, and went down by 4.2% in comparison with the previous quarter according to seasonally adjusted indices. The declining tendency persistent for years continued in the first quarter of 2012 too. Investments in manufacturing, which grew dynamically in 2011, stagnated in the reference quarter.

In 2011 investments in the national economy were 4.5% lower than the volume of investments in the previous year. A downward trend was measured in the forth quarter of the year as well as in 2011 as a whole. In the last quarter of the previous year the significant, 11.7% and 18.4% increases of investments in agriculture and manufacturing respectively reduced the fall observed in the national economy as a whole.

In the third quarter of 2011 the volume of investments in the national economy decreased by 5.4% compared to the same period of 2010. However, investments in manufacturing rose by 27.3% in the quarter, and there was a volume increase in most of its sub-sections.

In the second quarter of 2011 the volume of investments in the national economy decreased by 6.5% compared to the same period of 2010, while in the first half of 2011 it was 4.0% lower than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Investments went down by 2.4% in comparison with the previous quarter according to seasonally adjusted volume indices.

In the first quarter of 2011 the volume of investments in the national economy decreased by 1.1% compared to the same period of the previous year but it rose by 1.7% compared to the previous quarter according to seasonally adjusted volume indices.

Year-on-year, the volume of investments in the national economy decreased by 5.5% in 2010 and by 7.8% in the fourth quarter of 2010. Investments went down by 2.3% in comparison with the previous quarter according to seasonally adjusted volume indices.
