Hungarian Statistical Review - Contributors

Notes for Contributors

Statisztikai Szemle (Hungarian Statistical Review) is a monthly- published scientific periodical of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office supplemented annually by one or more special issues in English.

As far as the English language numbers are concerned the policy of the Editorial Board is to present mainly Hungarian authors’ papers on the field of applied statistics in the widest sense including the relevant statistical methodology. Empirical papers analysing the problems of the Hungarian economy and society are especially preferred. Contributors are asked to take into consideration the following instructions.

Manuscripts should be sent to the Editorial Office (Statisztikai Szemle Szerkesztősége) in MS-Word format, in one complete copy via e-mail.

Mailing address: Statisztikai Szemle Szerkesztősége, H-1525 Budapest, P.O.B. 51.

E-mail: statszemle@ksh.hu

A shorter summary of no more than 200 words should be included.

Please avoid the footnotes to the text wherever it is reasonably possible.

The publisher will normally redraw figures, therefore data necessary to reproduce them should be enclosed.

Please indicate references in the typescript by giving the author’s name with the year of publication in brackets. If several papers by the same author and from the same year are cited, a b c etc. should be put after the year of publication. The original language of the publication should be used, thus please do not enclose English translation of the title. The references are to be listed in full at the end of the paper in the following standard form:

Kass, R. E. [1993]: Bayesian factors in practice. The Statistician. Vol. 42. No. 11. pp. 551-560.
