3. INVESTMENT
Output value of investments: the performance of investment goals according to the contract, regardless whether the account has been settled or not. The output value comprises the amount of the pre-calculated but non-deductible VAT according to the provisions of the Accountancy Act. Indices have been calculated from data of comparable structure.
Volume indices of investments: an indicator calculated from comparable price data of investment output value expressed in terms of price level of the reference period. In order to calculate volume indices the division-level indices of investment prices are applied.
Investment price index: it is a seconder type price index. The calculation of the sections’ quarterly investment price index is based on the investment price indices corresponding to the investment structure, external trade import and industrial domestic sales according to commodity groups, construction ones based on construction sub-groups, as well as agricultural investment ones, with weights characterising the distribution of section’s investments in the second year preceding the reference year, in material-technical composition breakdown. Yearly investment price indices are produced with the weighted average of quarterly indices by investment performance value. The seasonal adjustment is carried out with the TRAMO-SEATS method using DEMETRA software. Owing to the method of the seasonal adjustment, data relating to total time series may vary in each quarter. More»
Data relating to the national economy level contain the investment activity of all economic units: the results of full-scope and representative observations estimated data on corporations with 0–4 persons employed, as well as prognosis regarding investments of private entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations and estimated data on households' investments (included data on housing).
Data suppliers: organizations included in supplying full-scope or representative data.
- The coverage of the quarterly investment activity observation (OSAP 2237): organizations bound to supply full-scope data: all corporations with more than 49 persons employed; public institutions, institutions managed according to budget rules regardless of staff categories; and selected non-profit institutions. The corporations with 5–49 persons employed have been observed in a representative way, by stratified sampling.

Source of the annual territorial investment data:
1. Businesses:
Exceeding more than 19 persons employed the data of enterprises come from the annual survey of investment statistics. In this group of businesses the observation is exhaustive.Having fewer than 20 persons employed the data of enterprises also derive from the annual survey of investment statistics, meanwhile the observation covers only the selected enterprises and there is a mass-imputation for units not selected in the sample by using administrative (taxation) data.
2. Public institutions, institutions managed according to budget rules:
The data come from the annual survey of investment statistics and the observation is implemented on full-scope basis.
3. Non-profit organisations:
The data come from the annual survey of investment statistics. The observation covers only the selected non-profit organisations.
Scope of the annual territorial investment data:
The published data refers to all operating enterprises as well as public institutions, institutions managed according to budget rules. In case of non-profit organisations the data are exclusively based on the selected units.
Territorial dimension of the annual territorial investment data:
The data of full-scope observed enterprises,, the public institutions, institutions managed according to budget rules and non-profit organisations are accounted according to the given place of investment (county, town), regardless the seat of the investor. The investment data of other organisations are taken into consideration according to the seat of the investor.

Scope, source and territorial dimension of the infra-annual territorial investment data:
Data of organisations according to the seat of the investor covered by the quarterly investment activity observation. Consequently investment performance of organizations bound to supply full-scope data as well as corporations with 5–49 persons employed, are all taken into consideration according to the seat of the investor.
Data revisions: Data suppliers may modify their own data subsequently, therefore, in the possession of the latest information we correct data retroactively, so they may differ from the previously published ones. For infra-annul data, a general routine revision is performed in the fourth quarter of the year following the fourth quarter of the reference period. Deviation from this practice occurs only in justified cases, such as methodological or data changes that significantly affect the aggregates, in which case we carry out an extraordinary data revision.
An extraordinary data revision took place regarding the 1st quarter of 2023–2nd quarter of 2025 period (21 November 2025).
