Industrial production decreased by 3.6%

The volume of industrial production dropped in January 2024 by 3.6% year-on-year, based on working-day adjusted data, production declined by 4.1%. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output was 1.1% lower than in December 2023.

Production volume fell in January 2024 in the great majority of the manufacturing subsections. Output grew only in three subsections, at the highest rate in the manufacture of coke, and refined petroleum products.

Industrial output– according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was 1.1% below the level of the previous month.
