Industrial production stagnated
The volume of industrial production remained in March 2025 at the level of the same month of the previous year, while, based on working-day adjusted data, it lessened by 5.4%. Compared to crude data, the significant difference is due to the fact that there were two more working-days in this month than in March 2024. According to seasonally and working-day adjusted data, industrial output was 0.1% higher than in February 2025.
Production volume decreased in the majority of manufacturing subsections compared to the same month of the previous year. Out of the subsections having the largest weight the manufacture of transport equipment, the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products, as well as the manufacture of food products, beverages and tobacco products grew year-on-year, at the same time the manufacture of electrical equipment products dropped.
In the first three months of the year industrial production was 4.4% lower than in the same period of 2024.
Industrial output– according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was above the level of the previous month by 0.1%.
