Average gross earnings at HUF 704,400, 9.7% higher than a year earlier
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 704,400 and average net earnings reached HUF 484,200 in June 2025. Average gross earnings grew by 9.7%, net earnings increased by 9.6% and real earnings were 4.8% higher than a year earlier. Median gross earnings were HUF 567,700, and median net earnings were HUF 395,000, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 10.3% and 10.5%, respectively.
June 2025:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 704,400, which was 9.7% higher than a year earlier.
Average net earnings reached HUF 484,200, being 9.6% higher than in June 2024.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were estimated at HUF 655,600, being 9.5% higher than in the same period of the previous year. The regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 650,400 in the business sector, HUF 658,300 in the budgetary sector and HUF 698,100 in the non-profit sector, increasing by 9.4%, 9.2% and 10.6%, respectively over a year.
Real earnings were up by 4.8%, along with a 4.6% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 567,700, being 10.3% above the level a year earlier.
Median net earnings reached HUF 395,000, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 10.5%.
January- June 2025:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 692,800, and average net earnings were HUF 476,100.
Average gross earnings increased by 9.2% and average net earnings by 9.0% compared to the same period of the previous year.
