Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 692,700 and average net earnings reached HUF 482,400 in October 2025. Average gross earnings grew by 8.7%, net average earnings increased by 10.0% and real earnings were 5.5% higher than a year earlier. The increase in net average earnings exceeded the growth of the gross average earnings due to the higher amount of family allowance introduced as of 1 July 2025, and the allowance for mothers raising three children introduced as of 1 October 2025. Median gross earnings were HUF 575,000, and median net earnings were HUF 401,100, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 9.4% and 10.3%.
October 2025:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 692,700, which was 8.7% higher than a year earlier.
Average net earnings reached HUF 482,400, being 10.0% higher than in October 2024. The growth in the net earnings was considerably impacted by the higher amount of family tax benefit introduced as of 1 July 2025, and the tax benefit of mothers raising 3 children introduced as of 1 October 2025.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were HUF 668,000, being 9.0% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 664,600 in the business sector, HUF 670,800 in the budgetary sector and HUF 693,000 in the non-profit sector, increasing by 8.2%, 11.5% and 9.7%, within a year.
Real earnings were up by 5.5%, along with a 4.3% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 575,000, being 9.4% above the one year earlier level.
Median net earnings reached HUF 401,100, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 10.3%.
January-October 2025:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 691,400, average net earnings were HUF 476,600.
Average gross earnings increased by 9.1%, while net earnings grew by 9.3% compared to the same period of the previous year.
