Average gross earnings at HUF 756,400, being 8.9% higher than a year earlier
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 756,400 and average net earnings reached HUF 525,900 in November 2025. Average gross earnings grew by 8.9%, net average earnings increased by 10.2% and real earnings were 6.2% higher than a year earlier. The increase in net average earnings exceeded the growth of the gross average earnings due to the higher amount of family tax allowance introduced as of 1 July 2025, and the tax allowance for mothers raising three children introduced as of 1 October 2025. Median gross earnings were HUF 600,000, and median net earnings were HUF 417,900, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 10.1% and 10.5%, respectively.
November 2025:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings were HUF 756,400, which was 8.9% higher than a year earlier.
Average net earnings reached HUF 525,900, being 10.2% higher than in November 2024. The growth in the net earnings was considerably impacted by the higher amount of family tax allowance introduced as of 1 July 2025, and the tax allowance for mothers raising three children introduced as of 1 October 2025.
Regular average gross earnings (without premiums and one-month bonuses) were HUF 665,100, being 8.7% higher than in the same period of the previous year. Regular average gross earnings amounted to HUF 653,100 in the business sector, HUF 679,100 in the budgetary sector and HUF 739,500 in the non-profit sector, increasing by 7.5%, 10.4% and 14.4%, respectively, over a year.
Real earnings were up by 6.2%, along with a 3.8% increase in consumer prices compared to the same period of the previous year.
Median gross earnings were HUF 600,000, being 10.1% above the one year earlier level.
Median net earnings reached HUF 417,900, surpassing the value for the same period of the previous year by 10.5%.
January-November 2025:
Full-time employees’ average gross earnings amounted to HUF 697,300, average net earnings were HUF 481,100.
Average gross earnings increased by 9.1%, while net earnings grew by 9.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
