The surplus of the external trade in goods amounted to EUR 697 million, while the level of the external trade turnover decreased by 16% on the export side, and by 11% on the import one, month-on-month

The value of export was 4.3% higher, while that of import 13% lower in EUR terms in July 2023 than in the same period of the previous year. The balance of the external trade in goods improved by EUR 2.0 billion. Compared to the previous month, the level of export in goods decreased by 16% and the import of goods lessened by 11%.

In July 2023:

The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.4 billion (HUF 4,310 billion), that of imports to EUR 10.7 billion (HUF 4,046 billion).

The surplus of the external trade in goods was EUR 697 million (HUF 264 billion).

The share of the EU Member States (EU27_2020) was 76% in exports and 72% in imports.

In July 2023 compared to a year earlier:

The value of export increased by 4.3%, while that of import decreased by 13% in EUR terms.
