The surplus of the external trade in goods amounted to EUR 1.1 billion, its level decreased by 5.0% on the export side and by 0.2% on the import one, month-on-month
The value of export was 8.8% lower, that of import decreased by 9.0% in EUR terms in May 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. The balance of the external trade in goods deteriorated by EUR 73 million. Compared to the previous month, the export of goods decreased by 5.0%, its import lessened by 0.2%.
In May 2024:
The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.9 billion (HUF 4,618 billion) and that of imports to EUR 10.8 billion (HUF 4,174 billion).
The balance of the external trade in goods was EUR 1.1 billion (HUF 444 billion).
The share of EU member states (EU27_2020) was 76% in exports and 72% in imports.
