Industrial producer prices increased by 2.7% in June 2024 compared to a year earlier and by 1.5% compared to the previous month

Industrial producer prices were 2.7% higher on average in June 2024 compared to one year earlier. Domestic output prices lessened by 0.2%, non-domestic output prices were up by 4.2%. Compared to the previous month, domestic output prices increased by 1.2%, non-domestic output prices by 1.7%, as such industrial producer prices, on the whole, were 1.5% higher.

In June 2024 compared to June 2023:

Domestic output prices decreased by 0.2% on average, within it output prices went up by 2.9% in manufacturing representing a weight of 60.0%, and lessened by 6.5% in the 38.6% weight representing energy industry (electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply). Food industry output prices were 2.7% lower.

Prices in Hungary fell by 1.4% in the energy and intermediate producer branches together, rose by 5.6% in capital goods producer ones, and by 0.6% in consumer goods producer branches out of the end-use groups of the producer branches of industry.

Industrial non-domestic output prices were 4.2% higher, within it, prices were up by 5.6% in the 82.9% weight representing manufacturing, and fell by 5.8% in the energy industry, with a weight of 16.7%.

In January–June 2024 compared to January–June 2023:

Domestic output prices lessened by 4.6%, non-domestic output ones by 1.0%, as such industrial producer prices on the whole were 2.3% lower.
