Industrial producer prices 0.4% higher on average in October 2025 than in previous month and 1.8% higher than a year earlier
Industrial producer prices were 1.8% higher on average in October 2025 than one year earlier. Domestic output prices rose by 0.9% and non-domestic ones by 2.2% compared to October in the previous year. Compared to the previous month, domestic output prices lessened by 0.1% and non-domestic output prices went up by 0.7%, so industrial producer prices as a whole were 0.4% higher.
In October 2025 compared to October 2024:
Domestic output prices increased by 0.9% on average, within which they were 0.6% higher in manufacturing, representing a weight of 62.7%, and 1.3% higher in the energy industry (electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply), with a weight of 35.4%. Food industry output prices were up by 5.4%.
Prices in Hungary rose by 0.1% in energy and intermediate producer branches together, by 0.2% in capital goods producer and by 4.4% in consumer goods producer branches out of the end-use groups of the producer branches of industry.
Industrial non-domestic output prices were up by 2.2%, within which the prices augmented by 0.1% in manufacturing, representing a weight of 91.8%, and by 4.8% in the energy industry, with a weight of 8.0%.
In January–October 2025 compared to January–October 2024:
Domestic output prices rose by 3.1% and non-domestic output prices by 6.7%, so industrial producer prices as a whole by 5.5%.
