Interactive population pyramids
User guide
Move the cursor above the picture to learn about each feature.
- Click on the population pyramid to select a year or drag your mouse to select any age group.
- Click on the buttons at the end of the slider to go forward or back one year in time or drag the slider or click anywhere on the slider to select a given year (in the period between 1870 and 1950 data is only available on the so called census years, so in this period one click means a 10-year leap).
- Click on the padlock to unlock the previously fixed year.
- Click on the padlock to fix the outline of the population pyramid of the given year.
- This frame is to show the most important data of the year or age group being selected or moused over.
- Click on a region on the map or the territorial levels at the bottom to navigate among the population pyramids of regions and counties.
- Click on the play button to start the automated display of annual changes. You can control the speed of the animation with the slider.
