HCSO publishes September motor fuel price statistics, 02/10/2026

Based on data in the Weekly Oil Bulletin, published by the EU, the average price of 95-octane petrol was 628 forints and that of diesel motor fuel 704 forints in Hungary in the month of September. The price of petrol was 31 forints or 4.7% and that of diesel oil also 31 forints or 4.2% lower on average in Hungary compared to the prices in neighbouring countries. In countries in the region, the average September price for petrol was 655 forints, the price in Hungary becoming 4.1% or 27 forints lower. The regional average price for diesel equalled 730 forints, the average price in Hungary being 3.6% or 26 forints lower.
