Industrial producer prices rise by 2.7%

Industrial producer prices as a whole were 2.7% higher in April 2018 than in the same period of the previous year. Domestic output prices increased by 3.2% on average, within which the prices of manufacturing, representing a weight of six-tenths, rose by 3.6% and the prices of energy industry (electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply), with a weight of over one-third, by 2.9% compared to a year earlier. Industrial non-domestic output prices went up by 2.5% compared to April of the previous year.

In April 2018 compared to April 2017:

Industrial domestic output prices rose by 3.2%. Prices in Hungary increased by 4.0% in energy and intermediate producer branches, by 2.4% in capital goods producer and by 1.2% in consumer goods producer branches out of the end-use groups of the producer branches of industry.

Industrial non-domestic output prices rose by 2.5%, within which by 2.2% in manufacturing (representing a weight of 96.4%) and by 7.5% in energy industry (with a weight of 3.4%).

In January–April 2018 compared to January–April 2017:

Domestic output prices increased by 3.4% and non-domestic output prices by 3.3%, so industrial producer prices as a whole were 3.4% higher.
