According to preliminary data, 5,582 children were born and 9,686 people died in November 2025. The number of births lessened by 11% and that of deaths by 9.3%, while the number of marriages rose by 6.2% compared to the same month of the previous year.
In November 2025:
A total of 5,582 children were born, 11% or 666 fewer than in November 2024.
9,686 people lost their lives, 9.3% or 989 fewer than a year earlier.
The natural decrease was 4,104, as opposed to 4,427 in November 2024.
2,893 couples got married, 6.2% or 169 more than a year earlier.
There were 7.1 live births and 12.4 deaths per thousand population. The rate of live births was 0.8 per mille point lower and that of deaths 1.2 per mille points lower than in November 2024. The natural decrease per thousand population diminished by 0.4 per mille point to 5.3. There were 3.7 marriages per thousand population, 0.2 per mille point more than a year earlier.
In January–November 2025:
65,913 children were born, 7.4% or 5,269 fewer than in the same period of the previous year. Within this, the number of live births was 8.9% lower in January–May, 1.7% lower in June–July and 8.4% lower in August–November than in the same periods of the previous year.
The total fertility rate was estimated at 1.31 per female, compared with 1.39 a year earlier. There were 35.1 live births per thousand females aged 15–49 years, 2.0 per mille points fewer than a year earlier.
There were 112,722 deaths, 2.6% or 3,027 fewer than one year earlier. 3.4% more people died in January–June and 9.8% fewer in July–November than in the same periods of the previous year.
Due to the balance of births and deaths, the natural decrease was 46,809, 5.0% more than the value of 44,567 for the same period of the previous year.
44,330 couples got married, 0.5% or 221 fewer than a year earlier. 6.1% fewer marriages were registered in January–April and 7.8% fewer in June–August, while 2.4% more in May and 13% more in September–November than in the same periods of 2024.
There were 7.6 live births and 12.9 deaths per thousand population. The rate of live births was 0.6 per mille point lower and that of deaths 0.3 per mille point lower than in January–November 2024. The rate of natural decrease increased by 0.3 per mille point to 5.4 per mille. The number of infant deaths was 3.3 per thousand live births, which was 0.5 per mille point lower than in the same period of the previous year. The marriage rate was 5.1 per mille, nearly the same as a year earlier.
