HCSO journals leading the field

The scientific journals of the HCSO in eminent positions in the Scopus database

Among the journals of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) Regional Statistics (D1), the Területi Statisztika (Q1) and the Statisztikai Szemle (Q3) reached eminent positions in the Scopus database considering the average number of weighted citations.

According to the recently published data HCSO journals classified in the Scopus database into the Geography, Planning and Development chapter reached the following results based on the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR-) index.

The SJR-index represents the average number of weighted citations of the studies published in the journals during the last three years. The journals, classified into a given subject, are ranked according to this index, then grouped into 4 quarters (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4). It is an even greater prestige if a journal is placed in the top 10% (D1). The greater the SJR value, the more significant a given periodical from a scientific point of view. HCSO journals occupy an optimum position in the field of science considering international scientometrics.
