World Statistics Day 2020On October 20 we celebrate World Statistics Day. The United Nations Statistics Committee (UNSC) launched this initiative to shine a spotlight on statistics and its growing value. Starting in 2010, this special date is celebrated every fifth year, with over 130 countries and areas joining in 2015. The theme for World Statistics Day 2020, Connecting the world with data we can trust, underlines the commitment of statistical organizations to supporting their users with credible and comparable information for better decisions, and to helping data providers worldwide with secure conditions, respecting data confidentiality. World Statistics Day celebrates the field of Statistics and the work of statisticians worldwide, guided by the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics to truly produce data you can trust.
