HCSO publishes December motor fuel price statistics, 09/01/2026

Based on data in the Weekly Oil Bulletin, published by the EU, the average price of 95-octane petrol was 557 forints and that of diesel motor fuel 569 forints in Hungary in the month of December. The prices of both petrol and diesel oil were 9 forints or 1.6% lower on average in Hungary compared to the prices in neighbouring countries. In countries in the region, the average December price for petrol was 548 forints, the price in Hungary being 1.6% or 9 forints higher, and the regional average price for diesel equalled 559 forints, the average price in Hungary being 1.8% or 10 forints higher.
