Dr. Áron Kincses, President of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office, received a prestigious scientific award, 24/02/2026

The Miskolc Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences recognized Dr. Áron Kincses, President of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO), Associate Professor at the University of Miskolc, with the Distinguished Scientific Award at the board's general meeting held on 23 February 2026. Mr. Kincses received the prestigious academic award for his outstanding, internationally significant scientific achievements, as well as for his decisive role in the scientific life of the region.

The highest awards of the Miskolc Regional Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences were presented on the occasion of its annual general meeting, on 23 February 2026. Dr. Áron Kincses, President of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO), Associate Professor at the University of Miskolc, received the Distinguished Scientific Award in recognition of his exceptional academic activity and his pivotal role in the scientific life of the region.

The committee grants every year this prestigious award to outstanding, internationally significant scientific results achieving professionals. The award reflects not only the decades-long professional and academic achievements of the President of the Office, but strengthens the scientific standing of the HCSO, too.
