Gabriella Vukovich is Vice-Chair of the UN Statistical Commission

At its 52nd (2021) session, the United Nations Statistical Commission elected Professor Gabriella Vukovich, Chief Statistician of Hungary and President of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office as Vice-Chair of the Commission. Dr. Vukovich had previously chaired the UN Statistical Commission between March 2012 and 2014.

The UN Statistical Commission is the highest level decision-making forum for the global statistical system and international statistical activities. Its task is to ensure the international comparability of statistics by developing and adopting international statistical standards, concepts and methodologies and promoting their implementation in all countries of the world.
