HCSO and Geostat Strengthen Professional Cooperation
The Hungarian Central Statistical Office (HCSO) and the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening professional cooperation between the two institutions in the field of official statistics. The document was signed on 4 March 2026 in New York, on the sidelines of the 57th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission, by Dr. Áron Kincses, President of the HCSO, and Gogita Todradze, Executive Director of Geostat.
The agreement covers, among other areas, the exchange of experience related to statistical legislation, the methodology of statistical surveys, statistical classifications and registers, as well as quality management systems. The parties also intend to deepen their cooperation in the development of statistical information systems and technologies, and in the application of advanced data analysis methods – including artificial intelligence and machine learning.
