110th DGINS Conference
The annual DGINS conference, held this year in Split, convened the Heads of National Statistical Institutes from across Europe and the Enlargement countries, alongside representatives from Eurostat and partner organisations. The central theme of the conference held significant relevance for European economies, particularly given that tourism constitutes one of the key pillars of national economies. Consequently, the development of high-quality, innovative, and sustainable tourism statistics is considered imperative. The timely and reliable provision of data is foundational for comprehending the economic, social, and environmental impact of tourism and for formulating policies that promote its sustainable growth. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to engage with colleagues from across Europe, exchange practical experiences, and explore ideas that could inspire the further advancement of official statistics.
