The tasks of the Office of the President

The tasks of the Office of the President are:

1. supporting the President in his/her decision-making and assignment of tasks, performing the tasks of the Secretariat of the President, including
  1.1. preparing and co-ordinating the President's programmes, consultations and public appearances,
  1.2. obtaining and preparing the technical background materials necessary for decisions,
  1.3. organising administrative tasks;
2. organising, coordinating and supervising IT security tasks;
3. performing the coordination and administrative tasks relating to the persons and activities directly managed by the President;
4. ensuring the performance of expert, analytical, advisory and coordination tasks, as directed by the President;
5. participating in the coordination of cooperation between the HCSO and international statistical organisations;
6. organising the international relations of HCSO by coordinating the international activities of the organisational units of HCSO, formulating, approving and representing official positions;
7. performing the tasks related to projects and tenders with (co-)financing from the European Union, monitoring the opportunities for tenders, contributing to the preparation and implementation of projects, keeping records of HCSO projects and their documents;
8. contributing to the implementation of the tasks arising from the international obligations of the President and the Deputy President;
9.  preparing the annual international travel plan of HCSO for approval;
10.  organising international events of the HCSO;
11.  organising and coordinating the work of the Data Protection Committee;
12.  establishing, operating and developing management monitoring and information systems and related processes for planning, monitoring and evaluating the organisation, the processes and the products;
13.  participating in strategic planning, monitoring the implementation of related plans, collecting information from departments for this purpose;
14.  supporting decisions on the continuous improvement of the HCSO’s organisation, processes and products, preparing analyses, background materials, and proposals for measures and improvements.
