Official statistical activity

Ministry of Agriculture produces and publishes data on credits of the agro economy, and on the state of forestry, hunting and environment. The ministry cooperates with Hungarian Central Statistical Office and Institute of Agricultural Economics in order to develop its statistical activity.

Data produced

Data on credits of the agro economy are based on quarterly data provided by the commercial banks and show the credit stocks and transferred loans of agriculture and food industry according to currency, maturity, objective of the credit as well as legal forms of beneficiaries.
Environmental statistical data give annual insight into the size of protected natural areas.
Forestry data provide annual information on wood production, stock, and size of areas. The data are produced by the National Land Agency and the National Food Chain Safety Office.
Hunting statistics consists of data on shot game, captured game, released game, and live and shot sale as well as size of game population based on the data of National Game Management Database operated by the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences
